Bush Point Boat Ramp

Here is some good news finally regards the Bush Point Boat Ramp.

The Dept. of Fisheries contractors after a months work have finished the concrete seawall, the articulated concrete ramp and the connecting solid concrete ramp portion. The next stage should be the piles for the float and then the restroom facilities and parking areas etc. Estimated completion date for Memorial Day 2006. Can it really be true? I hope so. Watched the concrete work take place and the amount of work was staggering. Had no idea it was such a complicated project.

The ramp will be 20 ft. wide with an 8 ft. wide float on the west side and 112 ft. long from the seawall into the water. Lots of parking for boat trailers and staging area for pre launching make it a very nice project and should improve the area greatly. Since it is all paid for and no burden to local taxpayers they should not have anything to gripe about. Now all we have to do when we use this facility is act like responsible sportsmen and treat it properly. If you don't ,I will be watching you from my porch and will vaporize you with my ray gun and turn you into crabbait.

Happy New Year
